WINTER; 2010
As a whole, I consider myself a fairly strong person. Not in any way does this mean I don't have insecurities or ignorant ways, but strength has always been an obvious quality that that my ego portrays. "What doesn't kill you only makes you stronger," a quote I used to agree with in numerous ways. That was until I was exposed to the reality of dishonesty, jealousy, agony, mystification, and deception. I do think that unfair and trying experiences make you stronger, that is if you are able to perceive them in an optimistic manner. As a kid without any worry in the universe; the inborn vitality, that I believe every human is given, prospered in my character. Innocence allowed me to grasp my internal emotions without any wicked interruption.
My experiences, both good and bad, have shaped me and will continue to for my life. I have had countless encounters with happiness and closure, allowing me to see the optimism and triumph that are waiting to be sought out by every soul. After confronting sorrow, failure, and shame, I had been exposed to the desolate realm that had ceased to formerly exist. These moments slowly created an unbreakable shell over my emotions. Sure it can get wounded, but it always seems to repair itself without any questions.
At the end of the day, I can usually sleep knowing everything will be O.K. This sureness gives me chances and stability that other people can't quite so easily possess. The one thing that hands down floods me with satisfaction, is seeing and being able to bring out the overwhelming jubilance another person.
So where there is a will, there is a way. Our wills will not dissolve until we die, that's why we continue to live each day right? To search for the love that will make your heart whole, to journey on your own path and create memories, and to leave an imprint on this little planet that allows us to survive upon it.
Where there is a will
There is a way
2 search and discover
A better day
Where a positive heart
Is all you need
2 rise beyond
And succeed
Where young minds grow
And respect each other
Based on their deeds
And not their color
When times are dim
Say as I say...
"Where there is a will
there is a way."
